A split day of events/
Noon -5 pm--MWF Eco & Tech Talks. First, meet Jody Noble Choder, an expert on raising urban chickens and a member of Pittsburgh pro-poultry people; Then The App Expo is a fine art project by artists Ashley Andrykovitch and Ashley Andrews. The two Ashleys explore technological concepts through visual art, performance, curated exhibitions, and participatory installations.The pair as well as Brian Kane and William Wright will present free TED-type technology talks during the day.
7-11 PM --Eco-ILL-Logical fashion displays on mannequins and mannequin prototypes.

Sun/Most Wanted Fine Art--Herencia Africana--Join Cafe Con Leche as we celebrate the African roots in Latino culture. African cultures have had tremendous influence on the economic, social, cultural, linguistic and racial identity of Latin America. This event will bring people together around good food while exploring the North and West African roots of Latin America. This event is free and appropriate for all ages.
There will be an Afro-Cuban performance of Yemaya, hands on art activities, a short documentary and other interactive activities. info on Facebook

"Walk for a Healthy Community" Make a Difference One Step At A Time...Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield announces their annual fundrasing event "Walk for a Healthy Community." The event helps support the missions of 69 health and human service agencies. Pittsburgh will host the event on May 17, 2014 at Stage AE on the North Shore.
